Sam-Tammy Ruggles

How was the weather that summer? 
terrible, chilly and rainy morning.
Why did my mother not send me out on that holiday?
because I would get sick.
.So What did I do?
 put on my jacket and went to the front porch(verandah)
  1. What did I find  there? the blond Labrador.
  1. Who is this I  and do you know my name? Shelly.
  1. How do you know this? When Diane shook hands with  you and thanked you for taking care of Sam.

  1. What did the Labrador do? He whined and put his head down on his good paw.
  1. Why did I think that he was not belonging to any one?
  1. because there was no collar or belt on his neck.
  1. Why did I think that it was mean to call the dog catcher?
  1. because  the Labrador  was hurt.
  1. Why my mummy could not come to help me?
  1. because she had gone to the store.
  1. What did I do then?I went to my room  to bring the first aid kit.
  1. Was it a real First Aid kit? No, It is a toy with which I played doctor and patient.
  1. What was there in that kit? iodine, bandages etc.,
  1. Why did I call him Goldy? because he looked golden in colour.
  1. What  were the questions which came to my mind?
  1. 1. How did he get hurt?
  1. 2.To whom did he belong?
  1. 3.Where did he live?
  1. 4. How did he get lost?
  1. Why was I sad when my mother came?
  1. She said we could not keep the dog. He might be belonging to someone.We had to find the master. we could not keep him.
  1. What did my mother do? She put a notice in the paper.
  1. What games did I play with Goldy when he became well?
  1. Frisbee and football.
  1. What are the meanings of the words mended,show up and Frisbee?
  1. improved, turn up, and the plastic disc thrown and caught  by the players.
  1. What commands did Goldy learn?
  1. Sit, Stay and come.
  1. Why was I secretly glad? Because no one came and claimed Goldy.
  1. Why was I yelling and jumping up and down?
  1. Because my mummy  brought a new chew toy for Goldy and that Goldy could be mine.
  1. What did Goldy do? he acted like my dog. Followed me to school. waited for my arrival. walked beside me.and on the outer side of the sidewalk to get between me and the traffic.
  1. What strange thing happened on that particular day when I returned from school?
  1. A strange van was on the driveway, the road leading to our house.
  1. Who was talking to my mom? A lady  with the dark sun-glasses and with a white cane on our front porch.
  1. Who was with her? a man,
  1. What did Goldy do? He started barking and ran up  to the old lady.
  1. What did the old lady call my Goldy? SAM
  1. What did Goldy do then? whined with love, licking all over the lady's face.
  1. Who said Goldy was not really Goldy .He was SAM.  I,the poor boy. the present Goldy's master.
  1. Why did the lady cry? because she found her pet dog SAM.
  1. Why did I cry? because I loved Goldy and he was my play mate and I  would miss him too much.
  1. How was SAM and his master the lady got separated?
  1. In a traffic accident and when she went to the hospital.
  1. What did SAM lose after the accident? his collar and harness( the set of straps put around the body to control him.)
  1. Who needed whom most? SAM needed that lady  and the lady needed him most.
  1. What did I wish too much? SAM to be really happy.
  1. What did I do with the master/ mistress of SAM?
  1. shook hands
  1. What was the lady's name? Diane. meaning Divine from the Latin word.
  1. What did Diane tell me? That I could visit him anytime I like.
  1. Then what happened? I put a big smile on my face. I said to her Thank you,madam.
  1. What did I watch? The two happy souls disappear round the driveway.
